November 10, 2009 Budget Hearing
The 2010 Budget Meeting of the Rosendale Town Board was held on November 10, 2009 at the Rosendale Town Hall. The agenda for this meeting was posted at the Town Hall on the bulletin board and front door, at Player’s Bar & Grill and on the website www.townofrosendalewi.com.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tracy Swayze at 7:00 p.m. Supervisors Jeffrey Miller and Ronald Goeden as well as Clerk/Treasurer Roxanne Tarnow were present. There were 18 electors, no property owners and no guests present. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to approve the agenda. Motion carried (9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 abstain, and 7 not voting).
Clerk Tarnow presented the 2010 Town Budget. Chairman Swayze asked for any discussion concerning the proposed 2010 budget. With no further questions, Chairman Swayze asked for a motion to accept the 2010 Town Budget. There was some discussion as to why some of the money totals were either higher or lower than last year’s budget. It was explained that some of the totals were estimates from our vendors and at year-end these totals were adjusted depending on the bills. A motion was made by Severin Swanson and seconded by Matt Zimmerman to accept the 2010 Town Budget as presented. Motion carried (9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 abstain, and 7 not voting).
A motion was made by Ronald Keplin and seconded by Matt Zimmerman to adjourn the Budget Meeting. Motion carried (9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 abstain, and 7 not voting).
Chairman Swayze called to order the special meeting following the Budget Meeting to accept the 2010 highway expenditures. Highway expenditures for the township are estimated to be $154,209.00. A motion was made by Mike Nicholi and seconded by Ronald Keplin to accept the proposed 2010 highway expenditures. Motion carried (9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 abstain, and 7 not voting).
A motion was made by Matt Zimmerman and seconded by Mike Nicholi to adopt the 2010 Town of Rosendale levy of $192,222.00 to be paid in 2010. Motion carried (9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 abstain, and 7 not voting).
A motion was made by Scott Sook and seconded by Severin Swanson to adjourn the budget meeting. Motion carried (9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 abstain, and 7 not voting).
The meeting duly adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
