REPORTS
-None at this time.
OLD BUSINESS
-Discussion/Possible action on purchasing a new mower will be tabled until the April meeting. Options being looked at are that Ripon Truck & Repair has a mower and can do it and we could also contract with the county. We need to look into how cost effect these options might be. Another option is to keep the old mower, which has very little trade in value, while purchasing a new one.
-Chairman Swayze to set up a time for Kevin from Ripon Truck & Repair, Gary Miller and himself to check the roads and mileage for next years snowplowing. It may be more cost effective and save driving time to combine some of the snowplowing. This will be tabled until the April meeting.
-Residents that are still in violation of the Fond du Lac County Junk Ordinance will have another month or so to get into compliance. They will be turned into Fond du Lac County if not in compliance after the annual road inspection. This will be tabled until the April meeting.
-Chairman Swayze is to set up an appointment with Attorney John St. Peter to discuss the possibility of hiring him as the Town Attorney. Clerk Tarnow will go along for the appointment. Supervisor Goeden also suggested Attorney Paul Kilgore from Ripon. This will be tabled until after Chairman Swayze and Clerk Tarnow have time to speak with the attorneys.
NEW BUSINESS
- Chairman Swayze discussed whether there was a need to post weight limit signs. He spoke with Jim Olstrom from the Rosendale Dairy and he agreed that they would stay off the roads as much as possible. Chairman Swayze feels that for now this is something that the town and dairy can work on together and that at this time we don’t need to post any more weight limit signs.
-Chairman Swayze and Clerk Tarnow will take the list of private driveways that are town roads which are under consideration by the board to return to the land owner to their meeting with Attorney John St. Peter. They will discuss this with him. This will also be tabled until the April meeting.
-The Annual Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
-Annual road inspection is scheduled for Monday, April 5, 2010 at 8:00 a.m.
