July 14, 2009 Monthly Board Meeting
The regular meeting of the Rosendale Town Board was held on July 14, 2009 in the Rosendale Town Hall. The agenda for this meting was posted at the Town Hall on the bulletin board and the front door and at C & S Player’s LLC and on the town website: www.townofrosendalewi.com.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tracy Swayze at 7:30 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisors Jeffrey Miller and Ronald Goeden as well as Clerk/Treasurer Roxanne Tarnow were present. There were 6 electors and 1 guest present. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to approve the agenda. Motion carried (3 ayes). The minutes of the June 9, 2009 meeting were read by the clerk. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to approve the minutes. Motion carried (3 ayes).
PUBLIC COMMENTS
-None at this time.
CORRESPONDENCE
-Pickett Steam Engine & Gas Club, W9975 Olden Road has submitted an application for a Temporary Class “B” License for their annual Steam Engine and Gas Club Show on September 11th, 12th & 13th, 2009. All required fees have been paid and necessary paperwork is on file in the office. The license numbered T0209 has been issued under Ordinance #2-2009 which authorizes the town clerk to issue Temporary Retail Alcohol Licenses.
-The town has received a copy of The Town of Ripon’s Comprehensive plan which has been adopted on April 13, 2009. The copy is on file in the clerk’s office.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The financial report was given by Clerk/Treasurer Tarnow. Vouchers 8966 thru 8982 were paid for a total disbursement of $11,719.83. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to approve the financial report as given and to pay the vouchers. Motion carried (3 ayes).

REPORTS
-None at this time.
OLD BUSINESS
-The county has completed the road work on Triangle Road and has ground off the spot on Olden Road. They have the bridge work left to do.
-Ripon Truck & Repair will shoulder Rose Eld and Olden Roads sometime this week and then will grade the roads we contracted them to do.
-A town property owner has done damage to the intersection of Springbrook Road and Forest Lane Road and on Springbrook Road itself. The damage has been reported to Attorney Sorenson and the town is trying too recoup the cost of repairs. The road maintenance man has done some of the minor repair work for a cost of $162.31. Scott Construction has submitted a bid for $2,637.00 for scraping, cleaning and patching and then resealing with hot oil mix. Supervisor Miller made a motion and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to award the job to Scott Construction for $2,637.00. Motion carried (3ayes).
-Chairman Swayze has contacted Attorney St. Peter in regards to the steps to discontinue town roads. Attorney St. Peter has sent the procedural steps that need to be taken to discontinue town roads. Chairman Swayze would like to have a figure on the cost of doing this. The town board will continue to look into this.
NEW BUSINESS
-The town has not established a fee for Public Celebration/Event Permit Applications. There is a minimal amount of work involved in issuing the applications. Clerk Tarnow would like to see a $10.00 fee required for all Public Celebration/Event Permit Applications. Supervisor Miller made a motion and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to require a $10.00 fee for Public Celebration/Event Permit Applications. Motion carried (3 ayes).
- David Nitz, state licensed building inspector has submitted his yearly contract. It is in effect for one year commencing on the date of the execution of the contract by both parties. According to the contract the town is required to provide necessary insurance coverage for the inspector. Chairman Swayze wants to check with the town insurance agent to make sure the town has that coverage. There have been no changes in the contract from previous years. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to award the contract to David Nitz once we have checked with the town insurance carrier to make sure his services are covered under the town policy. Motion carried (3ayes).

-Update on road work
-Returning town roads that are private driveways back to property owner
Next meeting is set for Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the town hall.
A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried (3 ayes). The meeting was duly adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
