February 9, 2010 Monthly Board Meeting
The regular meeting of the Rosendale Town Board was held on February 9, 2010 in the Rosendale Town Hall. The agenda for this meting was posted at the Town Hall on the bulletin board and the front door and at C & S Player’s LLC and on the town website: www.townofrosendalewi.com.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tracy Swayze at 7:30 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor Jeffrey Miller as well as Clerk/Treasurer Roxanne Tarnow were present. There were 6 electors and no guests present. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Chairman Swayze to approve the agenda. Motion carried (2 ayes). The minutes of the January 12, 2010 meeting were read by the clerk. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Chairman Swayze to approve the minutes. Motion carried (2 ayes).
PUBLIC COMMENTS
-Resident Steve Fairbanks had questions regarding letters that were sent to certain residents who the Town Board thought were in violation of the Fond du Lac County Junk Ordinance. He wanted to know who decided who received them and under what authority they were authorized to do it. He stated that he thought that they were unfair and that people should be allowed to do what they wanted with their property as long as they weren’t hurting anyone or the environment. Chairman Swayze explained that the ordinance gave the town board the authority to send out the letters and that if he didn’t agree with the ordinance that he should be speaking with Fond du Lac County because it is a county ordinance.
CORRESPONDENCE
-Letters from the State of Wisconsin Department of Revenue and State Representative Richard Spanbauer regarding the proposal to create a county assessment of real and personal property. The DOR has decided not to pursue this at this time.
TREASURER’S REPORT
-The financial report was given by Clerk/Treasurer Tarnow. Vouchers 9090 thru 9107 were paid for a total disbursement of $324,263.88. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by
Chairman Swayze to approve the financial report as given and to pay the vouchers. Motion carried (2 ayes).

Money Market $ 31,044.81
Total $ 217,650.88
Clerk Tarnow would like to transfer $20,000.00 to the money market account. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Chairman Swayze to transfer $20,000.00 from the checking account to the money market account. Motion carried (2 ayes).
REPORTS
-None at this time.
OLD BUSINESS
-Due to weather all old business was tabled until the March Town Board Meeting
NEW BUSINESS
-Chairman Swayze asked if anyone knew of any attorneys who dealt with municipal law. Prior to the meeting an e-mail was received from resident Elaine Swanson suggesting that we consider Attorney John St. Peter from Fond du Lac. This was also tabled until the March meeting due to weather.

-Discussion/Possible action on purchasing a new mower
-Discussion/Possible action on hiring a new town attorney
-Discussion/Possible action on combining snowplowing with Eldorado
-Compliance of junk ordinance letters
Next meeting is set for Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. at the town hall.
A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Chairman Swayze to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried (2 ayes). The meeting was duly adjourned 8:25 at p.m.
