August 8, 2011 Monthly Board Meeting
The regular meeting of the Rosendale Town Board was held on August 8, 2011 in the Rosendale Town Hall. The agenda for this meeting was posted at the Town Hall on the bulletin board, C & S Player’s LLC and on the town website: www.townofrosendalewi.com.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Kamps at 7:30 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisors Jeffrey Miller and Karen Krentz as well as Clerk/Treasurer Roxanne Tarnow were present. There were 8 electors, no landowners and 3 guests present (see attached list.) A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Krentz to approve the agenda. Motion carried (3 ayes). The minutes of the July 11, 2011 meeting were read by the clerk. A motion was made by Supervisor Krentz and seconded by Supervisor Miller to approve the minutes. Motion carried (3 ayes).
PUBLIC COMMENTS
-It was suggested by a resident that an email list be developed to be able to update town residents. The board felt that with the website that people can get the information that they need. There are email addresses for the town chairman and clerk/treasurer on the website so if they have any suggestions they can email them.
CORRESPONDENCE
-None at this time.
FINANCIAL REPORT
-The financial report was given by Clerk/Treasurer Tarnow. Vouchers 9438 thru 9453 were paid for a total disbursement of $ 9,208.40. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Krentz to approve the financial report as given and to pay the vouchers. Motion carried (3 ayes).

REPORTS
-The following building permits were issued:
Shawn and Dawn Balsitis-W11933 Olden Road-Tarp Shed
-We received the procedures for continuing the discontinuation of roads. We will proceed with the 10 roads that are “clean” and will wait on the 4 that are in question. Clerk Tarnow to notify the attorneys office and they will start the paperwork with the Register of Deeds Office. We will put the introduction of the resolution on the September agenda.
OLD BUSINESS
-Scott Construction submitted a bid for road work. Hickory Road from County FF to Getzel Road- full cold mix asphalt wedge and a full width hot oil single seal coat-$59,440.00. Forest Lane Road from Springbrook Road to Berndt Road-complete hot oil double seal coat including 5 ton cold mix hand patch-$15,741.00. Zoar Road two spots cold mix wedge and hot oil seal coat-$7,420.00.
-Ripon Truck will be doing culvert repair work and some road shouldering. The total cost for these jobs will be $15,048.25.
-A motion was made by Supervisor Krentz and seconded by Supervisor Miller to have Scott Construction and Ripon Truck proceed with the above road work. Motion carried (3ayes).
NEW BUSINESS
-Two snow plowing and sanding bids were received from Ripon Truck Repair and Kopplin and Kinas. The bid from Kopplin & Kinas was for 2011-2013 for $107.45 per hour with additional charges for weekends and holidays. Ripon Trucks bid was for 2011-2013 for $78.00 per hour with the larger pieces of equipment being $90.00 per hour. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Krentz to accept Ripon Truck’s two year plowing contract for 2011-2013. Motion carried (3ayes).

-Vacating Roads
Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 13th at 7:30 p.m. at the town hall.
A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Krentz to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried (3 ayes). The meeting was duly adjourned at 8:12 p.m.
