August 11, 2009 2009 Monthly Board Meeting
The regular meeting of the Rosendale Town Board was held on August 11, 2009 in the Rosendale Town Hall. The agenda for this meting was posted at the Town Hall on the bulletin board and the front door and at C & S Player’s LLC and on the town website: www.townofrosendalewi.com.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tracy Swayze at 7:30 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisors Jeffrey Miller and Ronald Goeden as well as Clerk/Treasurer Roxanne Tarnow were present. There were 7 electors and 1 guest present. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to approve the agenda. Motion carried (3 ayes). The minutes of the July 14, 2009 meeting were read by the clerk. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to approve the minutes. Motion carried (3 ayes).

-Pickett Steam Engine & Gas Club, W9975 Olden Road has submitted an application for a Temporary Class “B” License for a Demo Derby on September 26th & 27th, 2009. All required fees have been paid and the necessary paperwork is on file in the office. The licensed numbered T0309 has been issued.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The financial report was given by Clerk/Treasurer Tarnow. Vouchers 8986 thru 8996 were paid for a total disbursement of $27,237.97. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to approve the financial report as given and to pay the vouchers. Motion carried (3 ayes).

REPORTS
-Attorney Sorenson’s office has notified us that the person causing the damage to Forest Lane and Springbrook Roads has had his insurance carrier contact their office. The insurance carrier has indicated that they are willing to take care of this matter. The total for the damage that has been submitted to the insurance carrier is $3,958.21. According to Attorney Sorenson’s office if the payment is not paid in full they would accept the partial payment and then proceed with the lawsuit to collect the remaining amount.
-We are waiting to find out whose cable did the damage to the culvert on Rose Eld Road near Hill Road so Attorney Sorenson’s office can update the Complaint and file the lawsuit.
OLD BUSINESS
- The road work on Freemont Road, Griffith Road, Center Road (east), Porter Road and Pierstorff Road has been completed. The road work on Center Road (west) should be completed the week of August 17th. The shouldering on Rose Eld Road and Olden Road has also been completed.
- Attorney St. Peter gave an estimate of $5,000.00 plus the surveying cost to return driveways to property owners. Chairman Swayze to contact a surveyor to find out the surveying cost. The board will then look at the cost effectiveness of returning these driveways.
NEW BUSINESS
-Clerk Tarnow to submit an ad for snow plowing for the 2009-2010 snow season. We will also accept bids for a two year period of 2009-2010 and 2010-2011. Sealed bids to be received by September 4, 2009 and will be opened at the September 8, 2009 meeting. The contract may or may not be awarded at this time.

-None at this time.
Next meeting is set for Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the town hall.
A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried (3 ayes). The meeting was duly adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
