April 21, 2009 Monthly Board Meeting
Rosendale Town Board Regular Meeting April 21, 2009
The regular meeting of the Rosendale Town Board was held on April 21, 2009 in the Rosendale Town Hall. The agenda for this meting was posted at the Town Hall on the bulletin board and the front door and at Player’s Bar & Grill.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tracy Swayze at 8:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisors Jeffrey Miller and Ronald Goeden as well as Clerk/Treasurer Roxanne Tarnow were present. There were 11 electors, 2 property owners and 2 guests present. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to approve the agenda. Motion carried (3 ayes). The minutes of the March 10, 2009 meeting were read by the clerk. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to approve the minutes. Motion carried (3ayes).
PUBLIC COMMENTS
-There were none at this time.
CORRESPONDENCE
-Building Permit - Dave Resen for a storage shed off Olden Road by Schattsneider Drive.
TREASURER’S REPORT
The financial report was given by Clerk/Treasurer Tarnow. Vouchers 8912 thru 8936 were paid for a total disbursement of $12,316.18. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to approve the financial report as given and to pay the vouchers. Motion carried (3ayes).

REPORTS
- Road Inspection-the following is a list of road work that needs to be done.
Rose-Eld Road-ditching, shoulder & grade $1,950.00
Freemont Road-culvert replaced and asphalt $4,600.00
Griffiths Road-35 ton recycle & grade $850.00
Center Road-east of M-365 ton recycle, asphalt & grade $4,800.00
Center Road-west of M-hot mix, building road to grade for 1 ½ miles $29,000.00
Center Road-west of M-seal coating $21,000.00
Porter Road-grade $200.00
Box Elder Road-2 loads ¾ gravel & grade $720.00
Pierstorff Road-20’x150’ remove asphalt & replace with 3” $1,380.00
Olden Road-grade & shoulder where needed $1,800.00
Oak Road-culvert washing out on ends, dig out, smooth & riprap both ends $600.00
Olden Road-concrete culvert, dig out, redo ends & stabilize $8,000.00
Zoar Road-culvert, mill off frost heave, 30 tons asphalt $3,480.00
Zoar Road-at M-excavate, prepare base, 30 tons asphalt $5,930.00
The Freemont Road culvert needs to be replaced immediately because it is a hazard. A bid was given by Ripon Truck & Repair for $4,800.00 to replace the culvert and do the asphalt work. A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to have Ripon Truck & Repair do the job because of the need to have it done quickly. Motion carried (3 ayes). The culvert work on Olden Road and all the work on Zoar Road will be done by the county. The rest of the road work will go out for bid with the bids being opened at the May 12, 2009 meeting.
OLD BUSINESS
-None at this time.
NEW BUSINESS
-Mark Hoffman did not attend the meeting in regards to his Fireworks Permit. The board tabled it until Mark is available for a meeting.
-The Public Hearing for the Conditional Use Permit Application for Rosendale Dairy to operate a concrete plant for its 2nd phase of construction has been set for Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
-The Board of Review will be held on May 12, 2009 at 6:55 p.m. They will meet to adjourn to the end of July or early August because the assessment roll is not completed at this time. Chairman Swayze has appointed Clerk Tarnow to take the required 2 hours of training that is needed every two years to meet the State Statutes.

-Pickett Steam Engine & Gas Club-4 Public Celebration/Event Permit Applications
Next meeting is set for Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the town hall.
A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Goeden to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried (3 ayes). The meeting was duly adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
