April 13, 2010 2009 Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting of the Rosendale Town Board was held on April 13, 2010 in the Rosendale Town Hall. The agenda for this meeting was posted at the Town Hall on the bulletin board, at C & S Player’s Bar & Grill and on the website www.townofrosendalewi.com.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tracy Swayze at 7:00 p.m. Supervisors Jeffrey Miller and Ronald Goeden as well as Clerk/Treasurer Roxanne Tarnow were present. There were 5 electors, no property owners and 4 guests present. A motion was made by Matthew Zimmerman and seconded by Angie Birkholz to approve the agenda. Motion carried (ayes-5, nays-0, abstain-0, not voting-0). The minutes of the 2009 Annual Meeting were read by the clerk. A motion was made by Matthew Zimmerman and seconded by Ronald Keplin to approve the minutes. Motion carried (ayes-5, nays-0, abstain-0, not voting-0).
Clerk Tarnow presented the 2009 Financial Statement. For 2009 the total revenues were $1,455,765.87 of which $614,461.93 were tax payments and expenditures were $272,654.85. With further questions, Chairman Swayze asked for a motion to accept the 2009 Financial Statement. A motion was made by Matthew Zimmerman and seconded by Dana Hielke to accept the 2009 Financial Statement as presented. Motion carried (ayes-5, nays-0, abstain-0, not voting-0).
Chairman Swayze asked for a motion from the town’s people to spend greater that $10,000.00 on highway expenditures. A motion was made by Dana Hielke and seconded by Ronald Keplin to allow the town to spend greater than $10,000.00 on highway expenditures. Motion carried (ayes-5, nays-0, abstain-0, not voting-0).
Chairman Swayze asked for a motion to set the town levy in the fall for 2011. A motion was made by Dana Hielke and seconded by Ronald Keplin to set the town levy in the fall for 2011. Motion carried (ayes-5, nays-0, abstain-0, not voting-0).
Public comments:
-Chairman Swayze is unhappy with the wages of the Town Board. He feels that they are not being paid enough for the time involved in the job. Because this issue was not properly noticed on the annual meeting agenda he would like to hold a special meeting to discuss this at a later date.
The 2010 Annual Meeting is set for Tuesday, April 12, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
A motion was made by Dana Hielke and seconded by Laura Swayze to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried (ayes-5, nays-0, abstain-0, not voting-0).
The meeting duly adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
