The Public Hearing of the Town of Rosendale was held on January 10, 2012 at the Rosendale Town Hall. The agenda for this hearing was posted at the town hall on the bulletin board, C & S Player’s, J. G. Cabinetry Shop and on the town website www.townofrosendalewi.com. This hearing was to discuss/amend the zoning requirements for acreage for the R-1 Rural Residential District.
The Public Hearing was called to order by Chairman Kamps at 7:00 p.m. Supervisors Jeffrey Miller and Karen Krentz as well as Clerk/Treasurer Roxanne Tarnow were present. There were 4 electors, 0 property owners and 0 guests present (see attached list). A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Krentz to approve the agenda. Motion carried (3 ayes).
The Town of Rosendale presently has no zoning that allows for a parcel less than 2 acres. We have had requests for smaller parcels or partial parcels being sold that would be under the 2 acre requirement. The Plan Commission at the December 13, 2011 meeting made a recommendation to the Town Board to change the acreage requirements for the R-1 Rural Residential District from the current 2 acres to 4.99 acres to 1 acre to 4.99 acres. Existing structures would be grandfathered in.
A motion was made by Supervisor Krentz and seconded by Supervisor Miller to amend the zoning ordinance to 1 acre to 4.99 acres for R-1 Rural Residential District.
A motion was made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Supervisor Krentz to adjourn the Public Hearing. Motion carried (3 ayes).
The Public Hearing duly adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
